The soul is the seat of personality and emotions, and proceeds into the afterlife. The spirits of the unsaved are essentially natural life-forces that might continue linger on the earthly plane in a given location or around the body until they dissipate... or are removed. He explained that when one encounters a ghost, they are encountering the disembodied "spirit" or "life-force" of a person.

Thoughts???
i dont think its a disembodied spirit, what i think is demonic spirits tend to take on the lord or the story of the area.

for instance, there is a insane asylum. If you want to get freaked out go take a tour. stuff moves on its own there and lots of noise.

They even brought a dog in and the dog was spooked. we know that the possesed was driven mad just like the man that 100 demons in him. I believe those demonic spirits still hang around such places even after there closed cause people draw attention to the supernatural.

so instead of a spirit of some one who died i believe its a demon.trying to take on the role of the story and the lore.

My wife and her sister saw her grandfather after he was killed or murdered in her grannies house after they buried him.

she would probably agree with you. ofcourse they group right next to a cemetary and played in when they was kids...

I know that demonic spirits can masquerade as "ghosts" or the spirits of the dead. However, there are those reports of encounters with spirits that are truly more like "ghosts" in the traditional sense, not demons. Perhaps both notions have an element of truth.

but what is a ghost? could not a demon take on the form of said person? I really dont know. But the apostles must have believed in ghosts cause that is what they thought when they first saw Jesus after the ressurection.

True, I know that in ancient Judaism they believed that the soul was divided up in various parts that each had it's destiny in different places. Weird. lol
