Why this question and why this assumption? Is it common? To be bashed by your "ex's"? Why?

Why? Probably the same reason you do it.

My thoughts on dragging out and through the past is that a person hasn't really grasped the reality of Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

IMO, a person is, in effect, pointing fingers at God instead of reflecting on what has caused us to be strong in the power of His might, taken fear out of our hearts, given us maturity and wisdom - simply trials.

"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:" I Peter 1:7

Being an anti-UPC basher shows weakness. If a person has been made strong by their decision to leave, they would leave it all alone and keep walking.

"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." James 1:1-4 (NLT)

Re: Islam: A Religion of Lies...

Walks in Islam is a Muslim? Yet is surprised about people leaving religions? Who then turn around to come against the religion they were once involved with? That is like being surprised a marriage ended up in divorce and the couple now hates each other. In Walks' version of Islam, no one leaves, and no one converts to other religions, or becomes Atheists or Agnostic? No one ever left his Islam to turn around and bash it?

How long have you been a Muslim?

Did you grow up Muslim?

How large is your masjid?

You are right about one thing. This forum, and the people who bash Islam on this forum, are not doing this out of a position of strength or power. You can quote verses about trial and strength and power all you want, but at the end of the day this thread and other threads that I have participated in on this board is about you and your fear and weakness.

Were you to stop bashing Islam, and stop bashing my beliefs there would be no need for me to be on this board. I have little concern about the other nonsense you discuss among yourselves. When and while you do continue to use your time and this board you fairly earn my right to bash you right back. This is what my participation on this thread and on this board is about.

Hope that clears.

I am guilty of trying to build a bridge, by highlighting similarities between us. You and your colleagues answer to this was by highlighting bad things

There is no bridge that can be built between truth and untruth. You don't have the truth.

FYI. You come on this forum to make sure we don't bash your religion and if we stop, you will leave?
Why do you think it be your job to monitor or attempt to silence those that call out yours or any religion that in who's name there are throat slittings and burnings of live humans. How about changing those within your religion to conform to civilized behavior and come out of the 12th century. Christianity has not been perfect, but it has progressed.
Seems strange...

No, it doesn't "clears"

Here is Walks now claiming that he came to the forum because Brand A bashes Brand X? Are you kidding me? So, Joe the Muslim comes to an Apostolic Forum in hopes to build a bridge based on similarities, but doesn't find us wanting to hold hands and sing Kumbaya? This upsets Joe the Muslim, so he sets up camp and starts a bashing campaign against the forum members. Forum members point out to Joe, that what he wants the members to stop bashing is just so bashable because it is barbaric. Not to mention its leader like to marry small children, which Joe doesn't mind.

Building a bridge by highlighting similarities?

How long have you been a Muslim?

Are you really a Muslim?
