Please tell me that R.C. Cavaness is not synonymous with Dude Caveness.
Hey, 'Dude' Caveness could be acid hard when preaching in the old days! But, having said that, I was just preaching in a venue that had him as one of the speakers and - honest before the Lord - the man is as incredible a preacher as you'll ever hear.
If you haven't heard him in the last several years you owe it to yourself to hear the man preach. Got to admit that (having known his reputation and 'braced' myself) the man left me in awe! What a preacher!
He's a great guy. We had the opportunity to spend some time fellowshipping around the table with Bro. Trapani after campmeeting one night early this summer. He's so easy to be around and become friends with.
He reminded me so much in some of his mannerisms of Bro. Urshan.
Great man and VERY much like Bro. Urshan in many ways.
Besides my own pastor, executive pastor, and pastor growing up?

And a whole list more that just won't come to mind at the moment.
E. L. Holley was my friend. He became a great friend to me when I first came to the city I Pastor in and, hands down, would have been my Pastor had anything happened to my own Bishop.
His wisdom was practical and amazing.
He was among the 'Apostolic Statesmen' who could represent us in any venue.
He was a leader in every sense of the Word... in good times and in bad times.
Honestly, I used to love to hear Schambach, Terrell, and a few others on the radio when I was little.
The first time I heard Schamach I was convinced he was Oneness! He preached a GREAT Oneness message and then, in the final 30 seconds, he said "That's why I'm not ashamed of the blessed holy trinity!"

...a very telling post...

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
I started to throw in the Walterboro SC guy (Stair), but then realized the only think my brother and I liked about his broadcast was we got to make fun of the lovely Yvonne singing "The King Is Coming"!
