Re: Now I've heard it all

10. Have to get caught up on my AFF reading.

9. Heard all your sermons five times, already.

8. My snoring bothers people.

7. Alarm clock "broke".

6. Hangover.

5. Don't want to tempt others to envy my holiness.

4. Running low on excuses. Have to think up some more.

3. Ozzfest is in town!!!

2. I felt "led" to stay home.

And the number one excuse for not attending church:

1. Cable guy!!

IMO, when specifics are required or demanded, there are trust issues to be addressed.
I think so too.....but I also think the Pastor should reciprocate and let the church know when he is gonna be gone too

Re: Now I've heard it all

Well, as a church secretary, there have been multiple occasions when I wished people weren't quite so specific in their reasons why they aren't going to be in church, or what was the exact reason for the prayer request.

Sometimes the best thing is just to say "I'm sick".

Nope not a saint bashing. Just something for a change of pace.
I know Pastors that are gone more than they are at home.

Oh no, you didn't just say that!!!!

Please note, it was a pastor's wife saying it -- not a sheep.
