I'm saying forget about voting for a party. Let's vote for a man or a woman who is pledging to actually do the things that are very important to us. I'm saying that there has to be somebody out there who is qualified and committed to be the kind of leader that we really want, but the old partisanship mindset and the power base that lives off of it is not allowing it. But ultimately it is the American people that are allowing our democratic power to be usurped.
And at the very least, if we are just too locked into the party mindset...for the love of God, make them do something for our votes. Hold them accountable, don't let them take your vote for granted at the end of the day because they have figured out what it takes to insure your vote.
and I am saying that I am voting for McCain because he is the closest thing to the above for me. period.
and in the greater scope, only republicans meet my standard right now.
