Let me tell you why I've pretty much pulled all my hair out by now. It's like we live in parallel dimensions or a twilight zone during this time the election cycle.
If I talk to a Democrat they act like there was nothing good about the Republican speeches...then when I talk to a Republican they do the same about all the Democrat speeches. When in all actuality I believe that the professional speech writers on both sides are too good for that to actually be the case. I am not afraid to admit that I did hear good things at both conventions and that gives me a framework to honestly discuss the direction I want us to go in.
I see people ridiculing liberals for being so affected by an Obama speech and by words in general...then melt like butter at a Palin speech. The reverse would be true too. Some Dems will say that they were just words but swoon at an Obama speech.
Somebody stop the teeter-totter long enough for us as citizens to have a balanced rational discussion
I felt your pain in the last rew years Tstew. Let me personally invite you to vote them both out and vote for Bob Barr. http://www.bobbarr2008.com/ That's probably where I'm headed for the first time.
If your sick of both parties and are a true fiscal and social conservative, it's an option. I'm past the spin of both Repubs and Dems.
