Stew, I understand where you are coming from. It isnt from that liberal left place. in fact you likely believe much of what I believe.... and I accept your primis here.
i have a fundimental difference with you on who can affect this kind of change.
I would be willing to support at a grass roots level a third party that does believe these things. but I will NOT vote for a third party for president that has no power base.
third parties need to win at local, and state levels. then gain national power in the house, then in the senate before they have any chance at winning the white house.
and the democrats, and this particular democratic ticket, will NEVER affect the kind of change, or enact the kind of policy that I believe in.
thus I am a partisian Republican. I will not lose to prove a point. I prefer to win and get today what I can, then wait till tomorrow to get more. Losing in politics is not some strange kind of victory.
