I have not gotten into much of the politics stuff on here, or elsewhere. This is because our pastor has been teaching a lot on the fact that it does not matter who gets it, God is in control. My God owns not just the cattle on a thousand hills but he owns they hills too. The world can be going to hell in a hand basket and God will meet my needs according to His riches in glory.
But he still teaches that you better pray real hard about it before you cast your vote. THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS MAY STILL BE EVIL BUT WHY PUT THE WORST OF THE TWO IN JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE THE WAY HE TALKS, OR HE MAKES YOU FEEL ALL WARM AND FUZZY INSIDE? A shot of whiskey can do that for you.
Here's the deal bro....you don't have to vote for an evil at all. You can find a place to pray on election day and probably do far more for your country than blindly pulling for one party over the other every cycle.

Let me ask you the question...

Who would you vote for Nero or Caligula?

Do you even know much about Caligula? if I had to compare and ask for a ruler out of those two it would have to be Caligula. He went insane but at least he did not destroy Rome like Nero did.

I can also pray and let God lead me in WHO HE WANTS me to vote for. Not voting is like putting my head in the sand and ignoring it all.

I don't believe in putting one's head in the sand. I believe that if truly faced between two every real evils it's best not to vote at all and offer prayer to God for the nation. But these guys (McCain and Obama) are just politicians. One's on the right and the other's on the left. They're both corrupt, all politicians are, but neither one is pure evil. Good men are voting for each one based on the issues that directly effect them and their immediate family. I just happen to favor Obama over McCain. But when it comes to the American Church....bro....the church is nothing but a lap dog for the RNC. And as long as we are all wrapped up in this world's politics and hating one another...we'll not see revival.

I happen to not like either one. My only reason for voting McCain is because there is not a third offering that can do any damage to both parties.

I personally do not believe the president runs the country. I just do not want democrats running the white house, senate, and house of reps. If that happens you want to talk about dark times. Look at how badly the Dems run Chicago and Illinois. Don't want them running our nation also. Dem's pretty much run the state of AZ also, not completely, but a dem gov and dem mayor in phoenix and we are in serious trouble now also.

Bro...the Republicans have been in near absolute control. We had a Republican White House, a Republican Congress (until recently), and 7 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices were appointed by Republicans. And look at our economy. Right now the fallout from our economic crisis is sending markets into a tailspin around the world. The Supreme Court essentially stated that Home Depot has more rights than you do as a private citizen. The Republicans have done a terrible job. And if you vote for moral reasons get this....they've done NOTHING on those issues either. I'd take my investment portfolio under Clinton over what I've experienced under Bush any day.

You must not think that African-American congregations are churches then..................................
