I'm convinced that some of this kind of gossip, politics, and foolishness we focus on in churches only hinders the body of Christ from having the kind of revival and growth that the Lord intends for us.
This junk is just ridiculous.

Good advice and hopefully they won't "pretend" to be praying about it.

I guess after putting 26 years and thousands of dollars into trying to establish a work in my city that I get a little perturbed/zealous when yet another saint leaves or is about to leave.
But in the spirit of unity I am going to ask the neighboring Pastor if he needs a 2nd tier drummer.
|
If they choose to leave, as long as they leave on good terms it shouldnt be a problem. As long as they're not leaving for a non-Apostolic church it shouldnt really be an issue.
Besides, none of us knows what the Lord has in store for this person's life. She is the 4th tier piano player at your church, but could end up being the 1st or 2nd tier player in that other church. So why not let her go then? If she can be a blessing to the saints in another apostolic church, then perhaps we should wish her the best if she feels led to go.

Quite true.
I've always thought that is one of the biggest drawbacks too, when our churches begin to grow larger. You'll have gifted and talented saints who end up just sitting on the pews, not exercising their true gifts and ministries because there might be 4, 5, 6+ layers of other musicians, preachers, Sunday School teachers, etc in place ahead of them.
If they feel led to go elsewhere in order to be a blessing and fulfill the vision and ministry they feel God has put into their life, I have no problem with that at all.

Re: Snooping on a WPF church
Well, I think we all learn by our mistakes.
We maybe going on and on about what happened on AFF, but that pastor probably has moved on already.
We don't know all the details of what really happened. But I am sure feeling bad for our Mr. Romans here! I am sure he regrets saying anything. If I were in his shoes, I would feel bad too-
You live and learn, to me it's an never ending process!

Amen!! You could move some of them into the Youth or Children's music ministry. There are lots of places.
