I think God needs us to be more humble, merciful, and longsuffering with those who are blinded by false doctrine that has been accepted by the majority of those who believe in Christ for over 1500 years.
I believe it is a different case when one truly does know the truth and then transgresses it and turns from it to error.

I am all for mercy, humility, and longsuffering.
I am not for putting unsaved people in the pulpit supposedly to preach to our saints.
Besides, the verse that speaks of transgression concludes, and the Apostole goes on to say if any comes and doesn't bring this doctrine--period--don't receive him. The structure of the grammar does not require "transgression" to be a part of the mix.
Just not bringing the doctrine.
If they don't bring the doctrine, they need to be taught--not be the ones doing the teaching.
