I agree that there is no Biblical or for that matter culteral prohibition against facial hair.....but your characterization of any preacher who has a standard against them as "small minded insecure tyrants"....well, that is way over the top....in fact I believe it shows a casual and dangerous disrespect for Gods anointed.

I was sitting with a couple of brother in laws one time, and one of them mentioned that his pastor had counseled him not to allow his kids to get involved in sports....the other BIL who to put it bluntly is a obnoxious, rebellious, jerk, (who incidently has struggled, not very succesfully with demon possession) said "are you going to let some stuffed shirt tell you what to do?"....this is the same spirit I detect coming from you.

You dont have to agree with a mans stand....but to call a Man of God things like that is simply wrong.

When that "man of God" shows up on your doorstep with his secretary in tow needing a pulpit to use as an excuse for being found in your city - what do you call him then?

I have the gravest respect for the things of God. I have a respect that I really don't think you could begin to imagine nor understand. Ask your Superintendant about me. If he doesn't know me by name - just read him this post. Ask him what he thinks of the stands that have been forced to take.

I'm not going to let you guys forget that I spent 6 hours being grilled by Federal agents and local police because they thought all of the rest of you were a bunch of dangerous looney cultists. I stuck up for you then "Deadeye." I spoke up for you and I even made you look good.
