I remember a year or two ago when Steadfast started a thread as a testimony about a visiting evangelist. Apparently this guy was/is well known in UPC circles and does a lot of "word of knowledge" stuff. He singled out a family that had just been killed in the church a week or two back -which takes me back to the example of a guy saying that a "great tragedy just took place!" a week after the Minn bridge collapse. As an evangelist it would have been hard to NOT hear about such a tragic event happening at a church your about to visit!
I was the only one who dared question this guys motives (to which I was rapidly banned for a few days). In fact, Phil Jones said he wanted to take me out to the woodshed. (I should have said,
but your not my type! -but I didn't.)
