I think it safe to say that the UPCI, at least from Hazelwood, will not be exactly progressive! LOL

It would be interesting to lay side by side the accomplishment records of Brother Bernard and any who would claim him to be non-progressive. Very telling, I expect would be the scene. Brother Bernard has a degree in jurisprudence, he is a prolific, scholarly writer, is the head of a seminary, and has capably built a thriving church congregation--among other things.

Your point would be?

Accomplishments mean nothing. What direction are those accomplishments? They're neither progressive, nor moderate. Not trying to be critical, just my perspective.

ManofWar, I don't know you at all, but suspect you're quite a nice, intelligent person. But how can you say "accomplishments mean nothing"...and what do you mean when you say "They're neither progressive, nor moderate?"

Do you honestly believe that to study and become an attorney, or to build a thriving large church is not progressive? It appears that by mere definition such a statement is lacking in veracity.

I wish the UPCI well! With new leadership, will they be more tolerant of differences, or will they tighten control of the fringes?

The preservation of the mid 20th century mindset seems to be in good hands.
