PO, the article also perfectly illustrates why people might be trying to escape into the U.S. "...people...are leaving in droves...."

Horrifying pictures.

That is true also, but it's happening in the border towns on our side. I've been in Zapata, Nuevo Laredo, etc.. They issued warnings for us, this past Spring break on the news, to stay away from the border towns.

They need to clean up their own country before decrying that we are being unfair. Go fix your own lawless country - don't bring it here.

I agree--appreciation for our country with its blessings and freedom ought to be expected. However, I wouldn't want to send any good people back to that kind of atmosphere.

To me, this shows how the bill might be helpful, because people who behave so savagely won't care about obeying "little laws" either--and maybe they can be caught and deported.

No, I wouldn't want to send the good, hard working ones back. My husband has the authority to turn some in right now, but he doesn't. He was joking with a guy the other day, "I could make $50 and be rich!" LOL! They just laughed because they know he won't turn them in.

Anyway, you are right, that is where the bill is helpful. The deporting is another big issue. They just come back a few days later. It's like the underground railroad, in a way, they have a path that gets them back in. That's what we need to get strong on stopping.

A friend of mine, on the City Council, was railing on how we aren't enforcing the deportation because the businesses make money by the cheap labor. It's just a mess.

I just don't like the danger. You have to be careful not to look or smile at them because they think you are flirting. Grown up with that all of life. It's so annoying.

I want to walk into Walmart and yell "La Migra!!!!" and watch them scatter. LOL! I better get off this subject. It riles me up way too much.
