This starts a downward spiral of guilt and self-condemnation that is never healthy and pushes a person back to their addiction. You sound like people who bark at those who can't quite speak in tongues, "You haven't let go of sin!!"

Sounds as if the believer has some responsibilty to what they allow in their life. Folks may need extortation, encouragment, preaching to help get them there but it's still up to them what they walk in.
