That man is not a true apostolic...that is very sad that someone would do that to you. Please be assured of our prayers.

So I said he'd be welcome to come by to pray for here anytime. He told me that the Bible says for the sick to call for the elders of the church. He said that Jesus never went to the sick to pray for them, that they came to him. He said he doesn't go to the sick, that they would have to come to his church for prayer. He doesn't visit his own people in hospitals for this reason.

Talk about a slap in the face. What do you all think of this? Have you ever heard of anything like this? I was probably wrong, but, well, I guess I got angry. I told him, "On second thought, I'd rather not have you to come and pray for my wife". Had to do some repenting for my attitude.

I know this isn't common among Apostolic people. I've had people on this forum who have offered to drive great distances to come pray for her. What do you think about a preacher like this? Is he lazy or what???

He's an idiot! You don't need his prayers anyway. Just a discourager sent to buffet you...prayers are going up and God is listening.

Blessings, Rhoni

You say things so much nicer than I do...I need to work on that. My tolerance is at a low level right now.

Love & Blessings,

Did not Jesus go to Lazarus when he was dead? How sick is dead? He was selling his church not the gospel.

He knew you already had Apostolic experiences.

So he could not play a God man in your house.

However if you went to his church he could play a show for the folks about how he met you and God directed him to have you come.

It sounds more like a powerplay.

In this case I would write him a warm letter.

Letting him know who prays for the sick dying in a hospital bed?

Give me his name and address, I'll write him the letter...

The problem is sometime I have put the check in the offering already. Then I have no cash to put in again.

So you look like you are not willing to give.

Maybe they just need to pass around withdrawal slips where you check the box Visa etc?

Or have an usher carry a handheld debit credit card scanner.

Think I am far off.

I bet in next couple of years they will have debit readers in the pews and the amount received will be pushed up on the video screen as the money clears...

It's coming....
