Most shows revolve around these topics.
The problem is not so much that they revolve around these topics, but the way in which they portray them.
I also try to watch what I read, either in book form or online.
I have a library of over 3000 books, at last count, of which most have been read by myself or my family.
I am not slamming anyone who has a TV, because, just like a computer, a radio, a book or a magazine, TV is a tool and it's all it how you use it.
I am just more comfortable without one.
Aaah, why not?

Go ahead, feel free and take your liberty.

I agree with your post, BTW....

Over 3000? So you spend most of your time counting books????

Not a certain type of magazines?

Either that or Penthouse.

Of course since Popular Mechanics is a magazine, just like Penthouse, you can't read (look at) either. Sort of like the old circular argument I used to hear about theaters. You don't GO to the theater because movies are shown there. You also don't watch movies because they are shown in theaters!

Perfectly valid choice, and one I understand.
