Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Indeed I am aware of that. I also understand a few decades ago it was standard protocol to serve both wine and grape juice for communion at events such as General conference.

I have had wine for communion at Pentecostal Churches several times, though I don't think they were UPC at the time.

Not really, we practice those "drug-free" OOBEs!

Re: Hangover this morning? Fess up!

Didn't go to church anywhere last night...just stayed home and sat in the stillness of the evening visiting with the wife. About 11:00, as the wife prepared the elements, I waited for her to take her chair at the table as I turned to Matthew 26.

The elements prepared, I slowly read the whole chapter while tears fell upon the pages of this precious, precious book. I lost it completely when I read about the disciples totally forsaking him at the time of his arrest. They fled away leaving him alone. That was almost more than I could stand.

I managed to finish the chapter after which she and I took the Lord's supper. With our hearts filled with love and thanksgiving, we slowly moved away from the table and spent the next hour or so in the deepest of prayer and worship.

"Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness to the children of men!"

And while you were doing that we were watching Steve Martin on Netflix ("I was raised a poor black child!"). To each his own I guess.
