Thats ok. I am so old I only found out a few years ago that it is now politically incorrect to call people from the far east "Oriental". It is now considered an insult. Most of my life it was what everybody, including themselves, called them.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

So far they have been great. We all do have a slight twitch in our left eyes but it is hardly noticable. LOL
How did you pick out your frames? If you will, please PM me the name of the company if you don't choose to post it publicly. Am interested. Still not pleased with the present glasses. Did get 50% reduction in price after I got "squeaky!"

Did you not stop to think the recent violence in Mexico might slow some things down?

CC1 you might want to open the computer and check it for drugs. Someone got a Vacuum Cleaner from Mexico the other day and it had drugs in it valued at $300,000 I believe it was.

Re: Sometimes The Squeaky Wheel Does Get Greased

I need to learn to squeak!

About three months ago my kitchen ceiling light went out. I went to Lowe's to find a replacement bulb (originally bought the light there) and they said they are special order bulbs so they don't carry them.

Found a specialty bulb store here in Memphis and order the circular florescent bulb for $20. Had a friend come over with a tall ladder to install the bulb - doesn't work. Well, come to find out the bulb is fine - even my original bulb is fine, but the instant ballast starter is what's bad. Can't return the bulb because it was a special order.

Back to square one. I found a store in Atlanta (online) that sold the ballast starter, so I ordered it the first of December with a 7-10 day delivery date. Received an email from the company that stated the delivery date would be Dec. 27 due to production problems.

Well, Dec. 27, I received an email apologizing that the deliver would now be Jan. 28. I'm beginning to think there might never be a delivery.

In the meantime, thank goodness I have tract lighting over my sink or my poor kitchen would have zero lighting!!!

I would just start over and install a new light, but I've already invested $50. I'm just waiting it out.
