You mean you cannot see yourself laying on board a giant wooden ship cast afloat in the middle of a big lake or near the shore of the ocean, while a lone archer lifts his bow holding an arrow who's end has just been lit aflame. Then it is released, in slow motion of course, and gracefully flies through the air until it lands on your ship which promptly goes up in a giant ball of flame.... All to a Vangelis soundtrack in the background. This does not intrigue you?
If my wife would go for that, that is how I would want it done. That way always struck me as regal, somber, respectful and extremely awesome.
Thinking about it! Gonna request that they scatter my ashes up and down the isles at Wal Mart. That way my wife will come see me every day!
She'll probably put me in an urn and place me on the mantel so that when she gets her a new husband she can stick her tongue out at me each time she passes!

I usta have a pastor that preached against cremation. I can't remember if he had any scripture about it.
Of course not having any scripture to back up what he taught didn't stop him from preaching any of the other cockemamey things he taught.
are their any scriptures that are pro or con on creamation?

My wife wants to be cremated and I am still having trouble feeling good about it after a couple of years of knowing that.
However I am sure if I meet a pretty 35 year old woman not long after my wife's funeral I will learn to live with it!!!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
