This topic comes up from time-to-time and generates a lot of comments - just look at how big the thread has gotten so quickly. LOL.
Kyle, you are obviously either unaware of the history of the Apostolic Faith Movement or you have chosen to set that history aside. A lot of "Apostolics" do that.
For example, consider the way that
Emmanuel Pentecostal Church (
http://epcmesquite.com) in Mesquite, Texas has just updated their website. On their "History" page they used to have pictures of all the pastors the church had been blessed to have. However, the founding pastor, Sister Bertha Clinton's picture shows (or showed) her with obviously cut hair. I don't know when the picture was taken but she purchased the property for the church in 1941.
Just within the last couple of days that picture was removed - along with all the pictures of the previous pastors. Kind of a sad commentary, but obviously
Pastor Flowers and the saints looking after their website either regretted showing their TRUE history, or they were pressured to change their website.
So, sorry to break the news to you
Bother Stout, but apparently YOU are the "Ex-Apostolic." Why do you hate your history and the "Old Paths" that your elders walked in?
