For one - the world is not destroyed and time has not ended and I do not think he put a date on the destruction of California. I do know that every time there is a major earthquake there, the news outlets call him or interview him concerning "Is this the one you were prophesying about?"
So...who knows if or when it will happen. I sure would not call a man a false prophet because the prophecy did not come to pass in MY time!

Some of the people that left CA did get caught up in the serpent seed doctrine and other strange doctrines including Bishop Don Abernathy's late brother - Nolan. Nolan was the father in law to Pastor Steve Abernathy and SA could tell us more about all that. You know you can't help what your brother is or what he teaches - but somewhere along the line - people will get it all mixed up and say it was you.
I don't know the whole story but I do know that all of them have had great respect for William Branham and regarded him as a great prophet as MANY people have that also distanced themselves from the extreme teachings of WB and other strange things he taught.

I do know that Bishop Abernathy has sent numerous letters refuting the serpent seed doctrine and that he did NOT believe it and did not teach it.
I have known him and preached for him well over 20 years and never heard anything taught or even discussed about it there. I do know the UPC guys in GA always brought it up and disrespected him and told that he did preach it, but he denied that he believed or preached such a thing.
They hated him because he has always been very prophetic and a revivalist and I have heard board members in GA bring great disrespect to Bishop Abernathy because he preached Miracles, Signs,Wonders and the Gifts of the Holy Ghost so much.
