So...
neither the Greek or the English means anything...only your interpretation?

I have studied scholars of both Greek and English, plus taking scripture and God's purpose as a whole, for my conclusions. Your interpretations are not held by all scholars by any means. There is disagreement, pure and simple.

Well, if the enemy can't get us to live a life of sin and out right rebellion against God, I suppose that the only other recourse he would have is to make us doubt God's written Word that tell us where the unbeliever will spend eternity??? If doubt could be raised then why enter into a battle against the flesh and the devil? Wouldn't it be much easier to just relax and lay down and let whatever will be will be?

Seems as though you had nothing to contribute... like you wanted to get a rise out of someone.

That's how I see it too.
Why bother with the here and now, it'll all come out okay on the other side...eventually.

Amen, sis...
When all incentive is removed, what's the use of battling the flesh and the devil since in the end every thief, liar, whoremonger will be saved anyway, regardless if they claim to be a christian or not? If the love of God and a desire to serve him from a pure heart filled with love for him is not incentive enough to get saved and stay saved, at least there is one other incentive: fear. If love is not strong enough incentive to live for God, for some people fear is strong enough.
Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

So if you are wrong, and if God's goodness still gives space for man's choice, then God is a weak and temperamental despot? Really? What kind of God have we created for ourselves, that neatly fits all our sensibilities...
