UPCI's Financial Health
When David Bernard was installed as general superintendent, the UPCI was around $2,000,000 in debt. (I remember some people on this forum mentioning this fact after he had been elected.)
I recently learned that, since he has been superintendent, there has been a $2,000,000 swing in the other direction. That's an impressive turnaround.

I don't typically believe these kinds of "reports" unless I have a link to an official statement

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Well, you've heard the old saying
"Figures don't lie but liars can figure."
A report like this may be right and it may be wrong.
If the UPC was really 2 mil in debt and is now 2 mil to the good, I would say that's great news.

I suppose the superintendent could have been lying when he gave this report to our congregation this past Sunday. ;-)

I guess the reports of the UPCI's demise have been, perhaps, a little exaggerated.
