As far as girls go - I didn't buy my wife a ring because her dad had frowned so seriously on the idea. He even stated that he would refuse to do a wedding ceremony that involved a ring in any way. About a week or two after we were married my wife was digging around and found my grandmother's wedding band and claimed it for herself. She said she was tired of all the "hassles" at work and other places. Nice. I felt like a worm.

I know eveyone experience is different, we just haven't had much issue with it and I work with mostly women.

Re: Wedding rings
Sam, you both look like you were made for each other. And, I really dig your wife's geek glasses.

Re: Wedding rings
For people coming in from the outside and were just supposed to make sense of all this stuff, it was impossible, because it's ultimately cultural and doesn't make sense.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Ah, but, Scott, those bright colors on the flowers invite the burning stingers of the bees or the probing beaks of the hummingbirds.

True, that. I've learned the hard way to wear muted colors and insect repellent when I'm working in the flower beds!!!

First of all Bees don't sting flowers. They collect pollen.
Second, God created them that way.
Third, so what?

- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
