Don't cherry pick one phrase out of the verse and build a doctrine on it.
Consider it in the context of the entire Bible.
Consider that he was using metaphors and was describing a woman who was full of finery, but had a golden cup full of abominations and fornications. That even though she looked splendid, she was wicked inside.
Consider the fact that God's bride was several times described in much the same way, minus the cup full of abominations.
Consider the fact that you can't say - "See, see!! She was wearing jewelry, that means it's a whore's adorning!!!" and
completely ignore the fact that she was also wearing red and purple.
