I didn't see a recipe with the image. It looks very top notch. Is that butter pooling in the plate? But, Margie, could you eat that for breakfast? I think it would make me sick.

I realized that I posted, earlier, that I stuck my finger in the Nutella jar! If my dessert table turns out worth photographing, I'm going to set that jar of Nutella on the table and serve it!
Seriously, the reason I stuck my finger in the jar is because it wasn't thick and I was surprised being it was some sort of nut butter. Anyway, it looked more like syrup, unless you are supposed to stir it. So, being curious, I tasted it and was very shocked at the sugar content! Ferd is bad! But, my husband agrees with him. He tasted a little and loved it. Of course, he got a tiny bit out with the tip of a spoon. LOL!

Here you go, Margie!
Chocolate French Toast
Serves 4-6
10 slices Panera Bread Country White
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup hot water
5 large eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz. semisweet chocolate chopped, or semisweet chocolate chips
Prepared butter flavored pancake syrup
In a small bowl, dissolve cocoa powder in hot water. Whisk until blended; set aside.
In shallow pan (such as a 1 1/4 quart baking dish) whisk together eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Add chocolate cocoa mixture; whisk again until incorporated.
Melt a small piece of butter in a 12" non-stick pan over medium high heat. Dip 2 bread pieces in egg mixture (turning if necessary) and place in pan. Turn pieces after about 2-3 minutes and cover one piece with chopped chocolate or chips. Place the other piece of bread on top of the chocolate covered piece, creating a sandwich. Heat until chocolate has melted. Repeat process with remaining pieces. Serve with butter flavored pancake syrup.

Re: Ice Cream Sundae Bar - Suggestions?
Isn't this the chocolate biscuits that Renda makes?
Southern Style Biscuits
Yield: 8- 3 1/2" biscuits
2 cups White Lily self rising flour
2 tbsp. cold shortening
6 tbsp cold butter, cut into pieces
3/4- 1 cup buttermilk
2 tbsp. melted butter
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Put flour into a large mixing bowl. Fluff it gently and very briefly with a whisk. Add cold butter and shortening and cut into the flour with a pastry blender until pea-sized crumbs form. Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Mix with a fork until the liquid and dry ingredients are just combined (if your dough is too stiff, add 1-2 more tbsp. buttermilk). Turn the sticky dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 5 or 6 times and pat dough out flat with well floured hands to 1" thickness.
Before you cut the dough into rounds, be sure that your cutter has a sharp edge. This helps them to rise accordion-style with a distinctive flat top that will brown evenly. Also, press the cutter strait down into the dough without twisting. Twisting the cutter can make the biscuit misshapen and hinder rising and it bakes.
Bake for 15 -20 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush the biscuit tops with the 2 tbsp melted butter. Serve warm.
Chocolate Gravy
Yield: About 2 cups
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups whole milk
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
In a medium sauce pan whisk together the dry ingredients. Pour in the milk and whisk vigorously to combine. Heat over medium-high until the mixture bubbles. Turn heat down to medium and stir until mixture has thickened to a gravy consistency. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
Let cool slightly then transfer to a gravy boat. Serve warm over buttermilk biscuits.
Cinnamon-Honey Compound Butter
2 sticks (1/2 lb) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 tbsp honey
1 heaping tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
In a medium bowl, whip all ingredients together on low speed with a hand-held mixer. Pour mixture onto a length of parchment paper and roll into a log. Wrap butter and parchment in plastic wrap and let set for 2 hours in the refrigerator. Serve on warm biscuits or yeast rolls.

Mmmmm, PO!! These look and sound sooooooo good!! Sadly, the only one of us around here that should really have any of these is Cindy. And even she shouldn't because of her cholesterol. Now I'm almost weeping!

Re: Ice Cream Sundae Bar - Suggestions?
Truth be told, saturated fat (natural, God-given fats from animals, dairy, coconuts, avocados, etc.) will significantly RAISE HDL ("good" cholesterol). Eliminating sugar/carbs will drastically decrease Triglycerides ("bad" cholesterol). LDL and total cholesterol #'s are meaningless, as they are only a calculation rather than a direct measurement of your cholesterol. You would have to have a VAP test to find out the true make-up of your cholesterol to find out if you are Pattern A (good), Pattern A/B (so-so) or Pattern B (not good). My hubby's total cholesterol is over 300, but his HDL is 72 (GREAT) and his Triglycerides is 52 (TREMENDOUS) and he is Pattern A (PERFECT)... He eats a very high saturated fat/very low carb/moderate protein diet (has for a couple of years) and is an avid runner (3-8 miles/several times/wk). I can't remember my exact #'s, but my total chol. is over 200 and my HDL/Trig's are both somewhere around 60. I have been eating this way for the past 6-7 years... I've lost around 40 lbs w/o exercise (hubby has lost 45, also while not exercising because, at the time, he was healing from having broken his ankle - as noted above, he runs regularly now/again), improved my cholesterol, and lowered my blood pressure (finally). Sat. fat is not the enemy; in fact, it's the fuel our bodies desire and work best with. It's the sugar and carbs that are killing us.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

You are right, we sure don't need any of that. But, go ahead and make each recipe once to get it out of your system. That will stop the tears for sure!

I'll tape your medical analysis to the dessert table.
You are exactly right, it's the carbs and sugar that are killing us.
So, let's do a compromise. We will do some unhealthy and healthy sugar. I think you have to wean yourself off of the unhealthy sugar. LOL!
And then, eventually, for the sweet tooth:
