Soooo, are you and your hubby going to start wearing robes, like Jesus, and stop being so worldly wearing men's business suits and dresses that would have NEVER been worn back in Jesus' day?
This is where this kind of thinking goes. Like others have stated, modesty is what is important. Jesus dressed according to the culture of his day. He didn't try to dress differently or try to stand out. (All that white robe stuff is for the movies, no way he had a clean unsmelly robe everywhere he went.) We should dress according to the culture we live, be it Japanese, Chinese or American - just modestly.
If women wearing pants is not modest, then men should quit wearing them too, because they have more in their pants to show than women. Jesus didn't wear pants, so you can't say it is biblical for men to wear pants any more than it is biblical for women to wear dresses and not veils.
Please just see that you love your traditions of men, and that is fine if that is what you love. But, please, please, please stop trying to tie it to something Jesus loves. Really, it's fine you like your traditions, really it is. It just isn't fine that you think it is something holy, it is just man made rules that have nothing to do with scripture.
