Re: ACN National Conference in Bryant, Arkansas

*BUMP*

I want to keep the ACN, if possible, a focal point on AFF. There are a lot of ministers who have fallen, who are walking wounded, and who have been put out that need the fellowship of good brethren. I want you all to know the ACN is the place to fellowship and enjoy godly anointing.

I know some of us missionaries may not see things eye to eye but I deeply respect the love, dedication and sacrifice of all true missionaries. Being a missionary is not a vacation but a call from God.
Cleve Lambeth can flat out preach,JB doesn't do anything for me, although he is a great man and has done well by the Brazilians. The Demerchants just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Are you in the Lambeth fellowship circle?

Not sure who you are...but I can say a loud AMEN to this!! I was walking wounded for a long time. And let me say....I don't think an organization or a fellowship card is necessary to make it to heaven...However, spiritual support, prayer, and accountability are. The ACN has offered me this. Without trying very hard, I now have elders, and peer ministers that I can call and talk to when I need someone who understands what I'm dealing with. I've also had the fellowship that I once had in the UPC....except there are no strings attached! I'm fortunate to be in Texas, which seems to be the hub of the movement...however...the wheels are turning and you should be watching for an ACN church to pop up near you...where ever you might be!

I think I read that the acn is part of the awcf. Is that true? what in your mind is the difference between the acn and the awcf?

Re: ACN National Conference in Bryant, Arkansas

I think ANC is more like a UPC without outward standards and AWCF seems more of an place for organizations...

Bishop Smith, chairman of the AWCF, told me that the AWCF is like the "United Nations"(his words) of the Apostolic Faith. They are made up of over 100 smaller and larger Apostolic Organizations like the PAW, COOLJC, and many others. They also have an Independent Caucus for ministers who are not a member of any organization. However, while they will send you a fellowship card, they do not issue an AWCF certificate of ordinaiton or license. They leave that up to the Organization or Church of said minister.

As Sister Alevear said, the ACN is organized like the ALJC or the UPC. We have Regional Presbyters, Youth Camps, and issue 3 levels of Credentials. However, as an organization, we do not dictate dress-codes. We DO preach holiness, modesty, and seperation as the Bible teaches....but we do not define for you what that is with a rule book or manual which is bragged about as being thicker than the New Testament.

For clarification, I am in no way, form, or fashion, the official spokesman for the ACN. I'm just glad to be a member. You can find more at www.theacn.net

fellowship based on the Spirit of Jesus Christ and not based on dress code? What a novel idea!!

It doesn't look like they're UPCI anymore. Not listed on the UPCI website, and neither minister listed on minister's website.
