Been in many services like that, don't always agree with the things that go on but God has a pretty good way of sorting the wheat from the chaff. I just try to stay saved and try to keep a good attitude.
It does seem that something is riding Jason, when you see a critical attitude like his there is usually bitterness behind it driving it on.
Sure, there are extremes in Pentecost but give it enough time and usually they moderate down. This is human nature.
Sherri if their lives were not changed then there would have been a problem.
I am nor for people being stupid when they worship. I have seen people do some pretty dumb things: run with their eyes closed and break a bone running into a wall or post, kicking chairs through windows, hit people with flailing arms and feet, etc etc.
Sis A said it right, there has to be balance in our worship and praise. Besides we are told to do things decently and with order.
I would much rather have some live action, with order to it, than I would to be around a bunch of dead dried up pharisees. Got a lot of churches that want things too decent and in order and then others that want to just let it all hang out. GET BALANCED
Why is a church always judgd as dead or dry based on the PHYSICAL response of a crowd? I've seen clips on youtube of southern baptist preaching that challenged me so I could do nothing but exit the internet, go to my study, and seek God. Services with no antics, no amens, and no one "worshipping."
As for the "lives changed" comment. I would say that is the exception, not the rule. Often those who exhibit the most shockamoo are quite unstable, in and out of church, have bad attitude, etc.

its been over 10 years since i have seen a church get anywhere near that expressive in worship. I'd bet that utube was old. imho we have gone way in the opposite direction where people are really not extravagant in their expression of worship. but are rather quite restrained.
would say that you probably haven't been in the 'right' church then. besides the ones I know that worship like that tend to FROWN on use of the internet and thus we would most likely NOT see anything from them.

Then I would say your experience is far to limited.
