To say we are bound by the laws of tithing is to put us back under the Law. Paul taught that we should give as we have purposed in our hearts.
I fear these tithe mandating pastors simply don't have the faith that their congregations love Jesus enough to sustain the ministry if left to voluntary love offerings.
I attend a Southern Baptist Church (not even Apostolic) and they do not mandate tithing. THEY HAVE NT FAITH. We have over 2,000 members and over 100 house churches, a massive campus, paid staff, and we fund missionary endevours in Honduras, the Middle East, and India.

And I've already won. I was crucified with Christ, buried with Christ, and I'm risen with Christ. No law binds me. AB, I sympathize. Everyone who believes the Bible has to decide which parts to really believe, which to explain away (if they can, or just ignore, if they can't), and what interpretations to cling to. And it can be aggravating when others don't see it your way -- that is, the way you have chosen. And it's especially aggravating when they give their side of the story in a very convincing way.
They might feel the same way about your side, if you were to try presenting it in a convincing way (if that's possible). (Like I said, I haven't seen it yet. If you have done so, it would be helpful if you would point to it for us.)

Well bless you guys heart. Aguila has gone to preaching and pontificating and trying to convince & console himself that he is right when he knows he cannot produce ONE scripture to justify or substantiate his Anti-tithe false doctrine.
Preach on sir - YOUR STILL WRONG and YOU STILL LOSE!
Timmy, The deal is - after 22 pages of proof that you guys have no clue what you are talking about and that TITHERS are blessed and highly favored - you want to keep all this up!
Maybe you can convince one weak minded pitiful stingy and selfish mental midget to believe your deception but for those us that TITHE and READ THE WORD OF GOD- Your argument is lame brained!
The fact is - You guys threw it out and were proven wrong time and time again.
You guys need to just accept it! YOU LOSE!
