Not to mention the way you act will leave a much stronger impression on someone then the way you dress. Not that dress leaves no impression, it is just miniscule compared to the attitude you show.

Words in red. Sad day for your church
how is it that you are not ashamed to talk about a man of God?

1 Chronicles 16:21-23
suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

BECAUSE to THEM, you are NOT a man of God if you are not a legalist.

Not ashamed to call this post, a post of bondage to a Religion no different than what blinded the Scribes and Pharisees. Sad, way sad! Beware; this post will send a person down the road of self-righteous hypocrisy, where guilt and shame are covered by works and lies. Arrogance feeds this monster of Creed, and pride is the shelter of this dogmatic and critical idea that protects the secret sins of anger, hate, and discord amongst brethren.

The only way to keep this above Tradition alive is to condemn all, while allowing mercy and forgiveness to be thrown to the Religious dogs of war. There is a way out of this trap; find the mirror of Truth, the ugly Truth about one’s self, where men are revealed in absolute honesty.

Friend, what makes you so special, peculiar, and separate from the World? Do you live in a cave? Does God see you above others because your “Group” is obedient beyond most in Christendom? Are your long sleeves and treeless Christmases giving you some kind of preferred passage into Heaven?

Thank God, the Cross of Calvary can bridge past the expanse of shallow Faith and Understanding, and there is nothing I can do to earn my passage into the arms of a God who knows my every weakness; including my weakness and struggle to comprehend the Bible.

We are at the complete mercy of a Creator, whose limitless capacity is beyond the furthest star, and all of us will be found wanting in the end.

Re: Not Ashamed

I am ashamed of my past, but Jesus saved me.
I am ashamed of my sins, but Jesus forgave me.
I am ashamed of my failures, but Jesus heals me.
I am ashamed of the pain I caused in the past, but Jesus still wants me.
I am ashamed of my desire to be popular, but Jesus now leads me.
I am ashamed of my flesh, but Jesus made me a new creature.

Now, let me say this. In grammar, when the word 'but' is placed in a sentence, the words prior to it are negated in the light of the words after it. Thus, when one puts this rule in play...

Jesus saved me.
Jesus forgave me.
Jesus heals me.
Jesus still wants me.
Jesus now leads me.
Jesus made me a new creature.

Some food for thought...

Re: Not Ashamed

Sometimes I feel frustrated that we have a hard time being kind even when we disagree.
I don't agree with a lot of people but am not out to say hard things to hurt them...I have 2 sisters that were hurt I wish someone at that point in their life would have been kinder to them...Just because I am not stomping and banging on a pulpit does not mean I do not have things that I live by. I think the way we live speaks louder than what we type here.

Amen, Bro. Jesus saves! (Luke 19:10). And not we ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9 & Titus 3:5). Anything else is a "different gospel" (Romans 10:3; Galatians 1:6-11 & 2 Corinthians 11:3-4).

Glad you came out of hiding.
