Maybe you wouldn't lie or concoct a story like this couple did, but would you plead the fifth if your child committed a crime or would you tell all? Would it depend on their age? Curious...
"A Lake Charles couple will spend years behind bars for lying to police about their teenage son's involvement in a drive-by shooting that killed a 14-year-old girl in 2009.
On Monday, Judge Clayton Davis sentenced Nina Lambert Newton, 44, to 10 years in prison for obstructing justice and being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder of Alexus Rankins, The American Press reported.
...Prosecutor Cynthia Killingsworth said both parents conspired to make up a story and lied to police...."

I think that I would encourage them to turn themselves in, or if they were going to run, to not tell me where they were, so that I could honestly tell the police that I did not know. Pretty sure that if I knew they were guilty, I would not try to hide them.
No way, no how. Blood is thicker than water. They are flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone. They are my everything. I would do whatever it takes to help them. I would sacrifice my all for them. Sound familiar?
I would and have ratted them out by making them turn themselves in. (shoplifting)

In fact I think that the insinuation of "hateful" Pentecostals is coming mostly from the fertile imaginations of bitter, backslidden ex Apostolics who are constantly trying to find a way to justify their actions. ~ strait shooter
I would not be a good leader IF I hid or covered my Children's wrong...Eli...tried that...However it takes a person with a backbone and strong convviction to tell your kids they are wrong and not cover up for them. Not easy but if you want to really help them then you too must be honest with them....
