Studying on Cain's 9-9-9 plan. This is a good article.

Nein! Nein! Nein!
In any event, Mr. Cain has not spelled out in any detail a spending proposal that would allow the federal government to get by on $2.2 trillion, much less on $1.7 trillion. If the Tea Party stands for anything, it stands for smaller government, meaning lower spending. And yet the allure of magical thinking on taxes is so powerful that the tea-party favorite has given a great deal more detail about his tax proposals, with actual figures and everything, than he has about his spending proposals, which remain remarkably vague:
"Sell out" that was the phrase i was trying to remember......
One thing that bothers me about Cain is that he was on the Board of Directors on the Federal reserve and has made a statement saying the Fed does not need to be audited.
Quote:
Herman Cain defends the Federal Reserve
Now, Cain, a former board member of the Federal Reserve, is telling us that the central bank already has internal audits, that there isn’t anything new that we’d learn from a significant audit and they haven’t been hiding anything from Americans. He chalks it up to people not knowing enough about the Fed.
While Mr. Cain's consistent results-oriented approach is admirable -- not least for its contrast with the other candidates -- voters should be wary of the 9-9-9 plan despite its initial appeal. In short, it is somewhere between folly and economic suicide to implement a national sales tax, even at a modest rate, without simultaneously repealing the 16th Amendment to the Constitution (which permits a national income tax.)
I think I'm just gonna vote myself in office. Sounds good to me. I mean, after all, we've heard all these years from people who say one thing but do another. How 'bout just nominate me? I haven't said what I'd do, which means I'd do something all the more.
As serious as it should be taken, politics can be humorous at times...
(and I'm just kidding on the self-nomination thing )

LOL! You could run on the same premise as Kinky Friedman when he ran for Governor of Texas.
Reporter: "Kinky, why do you qualify to run as Governor of Texas?"
She needs to read or be taught out of William Bradford's book, Of Plymouth Plantation.
Capitalism is a self-disciplinary system. It is the only organizing principle of human activity that requires us to be of value to the rest of society in order to prosper. Enron did not follow the rules. Capitalism dismembered the company.

Okay, that video stinks with ignorance, plain and simply put. But, sadly, because she's a kid, she's only going to repeat what she's been hearing or been told.
I just started seeing commercials this week from the NEA where kids are stating why the gov't needs to pass the jobs bill. Granted, my wife is a school teacher, and even if a local vote came down to it for the sake of keeping her career from derailing, I'd vote for a slight tax increase. But that's at the local level. So, when I see this commercial, I cringe in disgust because it's...(here comes that "F" word)...federal. On one hand, we have a President/administration preaching "jobs! jobs! jobs!" and how much we need them, yet he's trying to go after corporate america and "the rich" by taxing them even more, which in the long run will prevent them from having the funds to hire more people.
LOL! "Kinky! Why the h*ll not???" Wasn't that on his campaign bumper stickers? I remember that so well now that you mentioned him...
LOL! Sounds like a bumper sticker he would have. I'd like to see him debate Obama. It would be like a Saturday Night Live show. LOL!
