So I'm writing a research paper on ..... "Research".... I know right ?
So anyway, I'm researching "Quantitive Measurement" and ran across this on a Q and A site.
Question: What is the unit of measure used to quantify holiness?
Answer: Jesus (Ye) for the US System, and for the SI unit system, the deity, (de) for those offended by the former. One Ye would equal 1/3 de. Standard prefixes would apply, thus we have the nanodeity, microdeity, millideity, kilodeity, and megadeity. Such a measurement would need to be on an asymptotic scale, like warp drive, in order to prescribe a finite number to an infinite positive. Then 777 megadeity = infinitely good = God. Billy Graham sits at about 10 megadeity. Your average pastor- around 6 Mde. The average schmo? 2-3 Mde, or about 1 MYe.
Of course, the trick to this will be separating the very good from the very twistedly evil who only appear good. This is where the reciprocal rule comes in handy.
I am sinless. That's how holy I am, for my holiness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ Himself (Romans 3:22-26).
Does God expect his children to be worthy of him and his Kingdom?
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 [Which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 2 Thess. 1:4-5
Paul says:
11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power: 2 Thess 1:11
And again:
11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father [doth] his children,
12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. 1 Thess 2:12
Walk worthy?
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Ephesians 4:1
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Col. 1:10
I strive to live Holy every day by the power of the Holy Ghost through the blood of Jesus. What God would not have me do, I do not do, with the power he's given me. An ever changing progressing changing remolding, renewing, and tranformation of my mind. The Lord sure did have to work on me! He still is!
So sorry to hear that drug abuse runs in your family!

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:37
(I'm not worthy of Him, btw.)
