What we do know is that the marriages didn't work. Obviously, this marriage has been working for 12 years now.
You know... Bathsheba was the woman of promise for David. Bathsheba loosely translates, “daughter of the promise”. David married her and she went on to be very influential, even saving Israel and the throne, ensuring that King Solomon would be heir to the throne. Prior to Bathsheba, David was married to Mikal, Achinoam, Abigail, Ma’akah, Chaggith, Abital, and Eglah. Mark them… 7 women before Bathsheba. And at first, Bathsheba was inducted as a mistress in an adulterous encounter. Now, I have a feeling that if Bathsheba was truly the, “daughter of the promise”, Uriah would have died in battle at the hands of fate, and David would have been able to marry Bathsheba without committing murder. I feel David simply got ahead of God by caving into his lusts (just as Abraham and Sarah got ahead of God with Hagar as a result of their impatience).
So if we can say, “third times the charm” with reference to Newt…. What do we say about King David? "Eighth time’s a charm"? Lol

I don't believe I would be putting Newt into a place of promise that David held. Nice try to win an argument.
Stop trying to sully up the White House and our nation to win an argument.

The point is leadership vs. past moral failure. The greatest of men have fallen the farthest. Don’t rule out Newt Gingrich simply because of private issues in his past. Look at his political policies and political accomplishments, and judge him on those things. Not a moral struggle from over 12 years ago.
Listen to the video I posted and tell me what you honestly think. Compare Newt to Perry. Perry is a wannabe. Newt has already tread in these waters, Newt has even forced a President's feet to the fire on budget issues (Clinton). No candidate has that kind of experience.

Newt's moral character isn't my top issue. It is all the left leaning policies he stood for, which I have provided the links for.
Perry is a wannabe? Wannabe what? Longest running Governor in the history of the state of Texas and has a record to prove it? If that is the case, than he's the wannabee I want in the White House.
You can keep your intellectual Bilbo Baggins. It's not that I don't believe he can be a President. I am just a little uncomfortable with what he will actually do when he gets there. He hasn't made me feel that I fully know what I am going to get after the swearing in. That is my biggest problem with Gingrich.
And you never know, he might trade us off for someone younger.

In short, can you list them for me so I can review them?

Longest running Governor... dude... Perry has no experience with Washington, they will stone wall him... or make him their lap dog. Besides, Perry forgot his line. Don't you realize the implication of that? In other words... what he's saying he's being told to say by a group behind the curtain. He's not his own man. He might have been an excellent Governor... but he's obviously on the end of someone's leash now that he's running for President. The Presidency is an entirely different ball game. I mean... there are Mayors who have served as Mayor longer than Perry has served as Governor... does that make them more qualified to be President? lol
It boils down to POLICIES. Real policies. Policies grounded in free market economics and that are fresh and innovative. Perry has nadda on this. He's just parroting the same ol' garbage we've heard a million times.
Newt on the other hand... he has real policies. And yes, they are innovative. Some of them are far ahead of current conservatism. Don't go by some oped article about Newt's position... look into his position and find the conservative ethos at work to address a contemporary issue. For example, allowing the free market to address environmental issues. Yes, we have pollution and waste. Guess what... that's gold for companies that specialize in cleaning up the environment. Having government partner with private entities to protect and clean up the environment is in perfect harmony with the conservative ethos. And it generates business and jobs.

I believe the conversation is over. I have provided adequate links on this thread. Apparently, you are only interested in listening to yourself. If that wasn't the case, you wouldn't even ask me for a link as though you didn't see any on this thread. Good grief.

I'm fairly certain that I am more interested in someone's active record than what they wrote in a book. Governor Perry included.

Re: Newt Gingrich
Perry is still first choice. Then Bachman.
I am a 3 issue voter. My candidate MUST be correct on these 3 issues. Where does Newt stand on:
1. Abortion. My candidate CAN support abortion ONLY to save the LIFE of the Mother.
2. Gay issues. Must oppose all Gay political action and at LEAST be able to verbalize they believe it is morally wrong.
2. Second Amendment issues. They MUST oppose the banning of semiautomatic weapons for civilian use as in the Clinton years.
I can live with a tax increase. Dont want one but how do we expect to pay for the many social programs we have committed to? Yes I think they should be slashed across the board but for now it is what it is. Tax issues are not a deal breaker for me.

Re: Newt Gingrich
My main issue this election is the defeat of BHO.
I believe Romney has the best chance of this.
Every other GOP candidate has some baggage to bring along.

Re: Newt Gingrich

No Newt Is Good Newt
He is the king of flip-flops, the emperor of hypocrisy, the czar of opinions a mile wide and an inch deep. Mitt Romney? Not by a long shot -- because when it comes to core values, conservative or otherwise, Romney tips the top of the belief-o-meter compared with Newt Gingrich. And it is a lesson conservatives should learn now, before the actual primary voting begins. For the Tea Party, for evangelicals, for the ordinary Joe and Jane who believe in American exceptionalism and hard work and God, for the like-minded concerned with the path of the Republic -- no Newt is good Newt.
Newt Gingrich is for Newt. Period. The end.

Active records are subject to opinion. Ask a liberal what they think of Perry's governorship. However, where a candidate stands on policy is very important. Perry's polices have very little "meat".

He has excellent policy and I notice you put out your comment without substantiating your claim.
Texas Monthly, who happens to be a liberal rag, laments that Perry has moved the state so far to the right that the Democrats can't win. We need someone to move this country to the right. He's the man to do it.
