Some preachers would not feel that they have to tell us how hard they have labored, to earn they 100% take/control of the tithe, if they'd stay out times like these hours spent in the labor room.
Unless there were/are complications that the family called you in on, stay out of labor delivery rooms.

No FAL you are NOT the only one who finds it completely over the top. I worked as an obstetric nurse for 12 years and I have never, ever, ever seen someone's pastor come by for anything but the quickest visit. Most men do not want to be anywhere near when a woman is in labor unless she is having their child. It is generally a very private time for families and even extended family tends to keep their distance and let the mother-to-be go through multiple vaginal exams, having her water broken, getting shaved and an enema, moaning, groaning, changing positions, hanging out of a meager hospital gown, pushing, crowning getting an epsiotomy and having it stitched back together with some privacy and dignity.
I can not imagine having my preacher anywhere near as I gave birth to any of my five children. I would have been mortified.
Boundaries, people... please. Of course after hearing from this same preacher today that there are actually preachers in this movement that discourage sick people from seeking medical care I am getting more creeped out my the minute... It's getting just a little Jim Jonesish around here for me...
