I like good characters and good writing. The genre doesn't matter to me as much. Personally, I think tv dramas are where the talent is these days. Breaking Bad, Homeland, etc. Great, complex shows.

Can't speak to the other shows but I have seen an episode of Breaking Bad and it typifies EXACTLY what I think is wrong with television. How many GD's does one need to hear... Would you invite a person that talks like that into your home? Would you let someone make out in your living room? Shoot dope?
Maybe I am over sensitive because I have seen those things in real life. My only sibling is currently awaiting trial for capital murder, two counts of kidnapping and aggravated sexual assualt- all related to being a Methamphitamine cook. I find people wanting to experience that vicariously just sick.
