Re: IBC Declined To Sing With Madonna/Super Bowl
I am THRILLED that IBC didn't sing with Madonna. If our kids were attending Bible school and the school snagged a gig like that, I would be furious. That would be the antithesis of godliness and indicative of bad judgment on the part of the administration, were that the case.
Madonna is a show-woman, no doubt. I can appreciate "talent" in its various forms, but she is nothing to be admired, aspired to or emulated. To sing on the same stage as Madonna is nigh to an endorsement of her undulating, smutty performance and even smuttier lyrics and musical productions of the past.
KUDOS to IBC and Bro. Mooney for making a wise decision. There was nothing to be gained by performing with Madonna. Nothing. Other than money. And money is not important enough in the large scheme of things to be a determining factor.
Those who support the idea have confused the ability to be entertaining with some sort of admirable virtue, IMO.
