The FDA allows large companies to put wood cellulose into our food.

We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made as are all of God's creatures.

It amazes me how far removed from our food we have really become. We now eat things from shiny packages that do not even resemble food. I recenlty found out that one of the ingredients in commercial bread is made from human hair. Evidently there is a large market for it for wig making in Asia and the left over trimmings or the hair that is not good quality is turned into an elasticiser for dough.... disgusting. We eat chemicals and even the DNA of all kinds of things... but find fresh, whole, natural milk bizzare... HUMMMM?
Goat milk is much easier for the human body to digest than cows milk. Or so I have heard.

Very interesting. There is a lot out there about this, but like Randy said, seems mostly from marketers of other products etc.

I did find this - which makes passing reference to it, and provides insight to another (organic) use of human hair...

Wouldn't human milk be best (for humans)?

Why is there such a stigma about this I wonder?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I wonder too. But true conservatives have really painted themselves into a corner when it comes to the female breast. On one hand it is to be covered and covered well, to the point where nothing is showing at all -and yet on the other hand it should be completely uncovered and free when it comes to nursing. It doesn't matter when or where or the size of the crowd around! Well, what is it?

You can still cover it and baby quite nicely thank you. I have seen it done by more than one nursing mother. It simply means that one must be as discreet as possible. Of course in those situations where the baby suddenly renders all discretion irrelevant, a gentleman would do well to avert his gaze, if not vacate the premises all together.

Re: Annoying people on AFF

the milk of another species, I understand, is more or less well tolerated depending upon how much lactase you produce, and for 75% this tails off drastically after age 3-6. Milk can be digested, but not well (unless "pre-digested--cheese, yoghurt, etc), and cow's milk is not the easiest. The calcium from cow's milk is something like only half absorbed, and the rest has to be gotten rid of. There is much evidence that homogenizing milk destroys the calcium molecules, allowing them to now pass through the stomach lining and into the bloodstream, where they scar the veins and cholesterol then adheres to the scars.

Notice organic (which is all un-homogenized) milk stays fresh like a week longer? Homogenized milk spoils quickly because damage has been done to the milk to keep it mixed. Even pasteurization is a like a necessary evil, and destroys valuable probiotics in the raw milk.
