BTW, I suspect that if every Christian used either method (meditation or casting lots), we would find that some used the method incorrectly -- not everyone would vote on God's candidate. (Which ones were right and which were wrong is anybody's guess. Well, you would know for sure, I suppose.)

Ha, I'm pretty sure any meditation here would negate any further action, and there is no reason lots could not be set up to reflect the possibility that God would have you vote for no one. But, your final paragraph there is telling about why politics is satanic, imo. The beginning premise of politics is whacked Scripturally, and so every decision that proceeds from that premise will be whacked.
I guess this thread is somewhat upsetting to some people? My account was suspended for several hours this am, and this is about the most inflammatory thing I have going. For the record, I mean no offense.
I would like nothing better than to not feel compelled to speak about politics in a Christian forum, period, and I stay out of the political room now. If my posts seem ranty, understand that AFF has like a 20:1 ratio
advocating politics in some form.
