Who said anything about the antichrist being the Pope in this thread? But I am with you on this one. The Pope will not be antichrist. Somebody much more sinister, whomever he may be, will be the big A/C.
The UN may or may not have anything to do with a one world government. I do know that before she died, a woman Joan Veon spent many years investigating what was going on at UN conventions. A lot of treaties, agendas and other "consensus" happen at their meetings. The delegates of member countries then go back home and try to get laws passed in their home countries that resemble the UN rulings and/or decrees.
