Yeah, I guess it is a complex issue, but I honestly feel like my impression of what I heard on the 911 call and subsequent actions would be the same regardless of race. Where race comes into play is the feeling for us that this could be one of our sons being accosted for no reason.
Are you still of the opinion that there is a racial dynamic? I just don't think there is that much current racial tension between Hispanics and Blacks...
Even in the Sanford Police Dept., does anyone know whether they have a track record of going easy on Hispanics?

Out of curiosity, if this confrontation occurred any significant distance from the truck, would that change your view of the altercation?
Yes it could. If the time lapse could be determined properly and you could tell how far they ran in those seconds etc. it could (and will I presume) make a difference.

Your son probably wouldn't have been "suspected"-- hoodie or not.
Had your son ben killed, you best believe that the Sanford PD would have done a more thorough and efficient job investigating this crime. He would have been seen as the victim that Trayvon is, and not automatically tested for drugs and alcohol and written off as just another dead white boy.

Why would he be running if he didn't feel like a guilty person? That just raises suspicion.

Seriously, you seem so determined to make his death his fault. What do you want him to do. At the beginning of the 911 call, Zimmerman said he eventually started looking at him following him and was coming his way, then he ran away and Zimmerman got out to give chase. What would you have him do?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there had not been a rash of burglaries at all. I also read that Zimmerman has made almost 50 of these types of calls recently.
