I don't think I could eat Rattlesnake unless it was fried.
I remember it being a rich tasting meat. I would like to try it again to see if my taste concerning it has changed. (Why are people always comparing strange meat to chicken? Why not a lizard's gizzard?)

Mike Vick goes to prison for dog fighting, Obama EATS dog meat and brags about it ! no one cares !!!
No, Obama doesn't *EAT* dog meat (present tense). He ate it as a kid when he lived in another country, another culture and probably didn't know there was anything offensive about it.
Republicans are embarrassing themselves by dwelling on this. What a non-scandal.
FTR, I think Romney strapping the family dog on top of their vehicle WAS stupid. Maybe not deliberately mean or cruel, but definitely stupid. It sounds like the kind of idea a MAN would have for taking an animal along on vacation. Romney should have responded with, "I thought he would enjoy the ride, but it made the dog sick. Stupid decision on our [my?!!] part, but it's never happened again, and we LOVE our dog." End of story. ...instead of responding with something about Obama eating dog meat as a kid.

Well, at least Mittens Romney didn't tie the dog to the back bumper and then drive for several miles like Chevy Chase in "Vacation"

As a sidenote, how does the fact that Obama ate dog meat mesh with claims that he is a closet Muslim?

It's not even about him not knowing it is offensive, it's about it not being offensive in so many cultures. In some cultures it is much more offensive to eat a cow and, God forbid, a pig. There are actual Scriptures and edicts about eating pig. This would be somewhat akin to a kid spending time in America where he ate good, All-American steaks and having it used against him as a man in a country where beef is taboo. Not only is this not a story, I think it is bad strategy.
