Well, it really is a personal decision for each mother-child pair to determine. If it were up to my daughter she would probably still be nursing now, at 5. I decided I was done when she was 3 1/2.

Why does it matter to you how long someone else nurses? In what way does it affect you? I'm much more concerned about the fact that few babies in the US are breastfed for the recommended MINIMUM of one year. That is a much larger health concern.
