Walking, looking around, on a sidewalk in an apartment complex, in the rain at 7:15pm is not suspicious.

Maybe at a different time of night that would seem suspicious to me-- but at 7:15pm, there's nothing suspicious about that.
please provide proof he prejudged martin. you keep saying it but im not seeing it. where is the evidence.. to zimmerman this would have been number 47 to the police station over issues in the gated community. what makes this one any different as for dealing with predjudice.

also zimmerman was in his truck parked close to the club house. He didnt follow martin in his truck. it was when martin realized this guy was on the phone looking at him he started to run. ( i havent ran from a guy talking on his phone sitting in a truck) it almost admits some sort of guilt.

at that point zimmerman ran after martin. Not to shoot him, but to keep a eye on him so he could lead the police straight to him.

When he looked at him and thought to himself, "that guy is up tp no good-- I better call the cops," he prejudged him.

Zimmermans actions towards Martin spring from prejudice.
He prejudged Martin's intents.

Chasing someone can definitely be seen as threatening behavior-- again providing legal protection for Martin, not Zimmerman.

What was Martin doing that was so suspicious?

Really, nothing.

If I have had break ins in my neighborhood and see a young black guy with a hoodie pulled up walking through you can bet your sweet bippie I would be keeping an eye on him. You may not like the stats but a huge percentage of crime is committed by young black men.

As a black comedian said a few years ago (paraphrased) "when I am about to get money out of an ATM at 10 pm it isn't the white guy in the business suit I am concerned about, it is the young black guy saggers I am worried about"

As soon as young black men stop committing an out of proportion amount of crime I will stop "pre judging" them as some call it (I call it common sense and reality).

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It was 7:15pm, raining, and they were in an apartment complex-- a public area.

He had every right to be there.

There is nothing inherently suspicious about that.

Again, I and MOST Americans are glad that this case will probably go to trial so that a clearer semblance of the truth will be made public.

The worst thing concerning this case (other than it happened) was the fact that it almost didn't get investigated.

CC1,
As soon as old white racists stop being racist, I'll stop prejudging old white people as racist.

Of course I don't feel that way, but see how loopy your argument is?

Furthermore, where is Christ in that kind of thinking?

Good night y'all.

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

JD - can you give me a link for for 3 burglaries out of 8 or 9?

Here are some links that might show his state of mind.

http://www.andersoncooper.com/2012/0...or-speaks-out/

http://www.talkleft.com/story/2012/4/25/214812/118

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...83O18H20120425

And a quote from the reuters article:
""Let's talk about the elephant in the room. I'm black, OK?" the woman said, declining to be identified because she anticipated backlash due to her race. She leaned in to look a reporter directly in the eyes. "There were black boys robbing houses in this neighborhood," she said. "That's why George was suspicious of Trayvon Martin."

JD - you appear to have formed opinions without doing much research into the subject.

Good night y'all.
I am not quite sure where Christ fits in a discussion of the FACT that a majority of violent crime is committed by young black men. That is not a racist or religious statement. It is a fact.

Does that mean I think all young black men are bad? Of course not. Does it mean I will pay particular attention to what young black men are doing around me? You bet!

thats not predjudice...... that is being cautious the man was walking around in the rain. he wasnt from the gated community he was looking about. it was suspecious.

come on say it, he called the cops cause he was black.. cause that is really what your wanting to get at. what other grounds could zimmerman prejudge martin on.

expecially when he has called the police so many times. BTW he called the cops on 2 men standing near the gate of the community. they was standing there. He called the cops on them... why? cause he thought them hanging out at the gate was suspicious......
