Many people are not only not offended by nudity but think in the 'right' setting it is beautiful. One only has to look at ancient art (even 'christian' art) to see nude chubby babies galore. The classic bear-skin rug is another example. These kinds of photos are not to be confused with pornographic type pictures of children where they are depicted in a sexual way.
However age 11 is prepubescent and really pushing the envelop by any standards. At that age a girl will have some breast development in most cases. Not to mention the completely public way in which she used them which was not only stupid but probably illegal.
This mother obviously did not use good judgement and it sounds as if there is a pattern with her making less than sound decisions.
Mr.S. In the future if you can find a way to not confront directly it might be best to use it, yes. But if the safety of your grandbabies is on the line, as it was in this case, you are more than justified in speaking up. It sounds as if you have a world of maturity and love on your side to make up for whatever lack of either there is on your son and DILs. I pray this whole situation blows over soon. Peace to you.
