My friend, there just may not be a way to address this. best to leave it as it is for now.
You were right to suggest facebook is no place for that kind of cute family picture.... (I agree there is nothing wrong with the pictures, but only in posting on the internet).
I just have to think that there are underlying issues here that have nothing to do with those pictures or your reaction to them.
My advice is to figure out what those other unspoken issues are and work to address them.
