I know it sounds a little weird... but really think on it... If what you (not you shag, just using your post to kick this off) are asserting is true and a pastor has the 'right' to tell you to remove your facial hair he also has the right to tell you to remove your eyebrows... to shave your legs... to pluck your pubes... Because you go to HIS church... and that is really the crux of it for me... It's God's church and NO ONE has a right to require more of us then God. NO ONE. If they do, they sin, simple as that.

You are going way over board... First of all like we have said numerous times this is just a " house rule ". like in the church I go to if you want to be in leadership you've got to be clean shaven and if you want to keep your beard then that's fine but you won't be used in our local church. Nobody that I know has ever said this is a heaven or hell issue. It's just a standard.
