Re: Does the Lord deny anybody being healed??

Your wife handled that situation with a lot more class than I would have. I'm sorry she had to go through that.

Jesus didn't put any requirement on healing. The Bible says Jesus healed everyone who asked. Even when He played hard to get, the gentile woman's belief the crumbs were enough to heal her daughter. Jesus was so amazed at the woman's faith, he healed her daughter.

Jesus did not attribute sickness to sin in a person's life. Jesus did not withhold healing from someone because of sin. That wasn't his character. He told a few people there sins were forgiven. The reason Jesus did that was because he wanted the religious people to know who He was. Christ has the power to forgive sin AND to heal.

What I've done with every excuse why Jesus doesn't heal is to line it up with the Bible and see how it matches up with the character of Christ. Every reason I've heard or read contradicts the character of Christ. If everyone is honest with themselves, they can only speculate why healing doesn't always happen.

These are the facts I live on.
The Bible is true.
If I what I believe doesn't line up with the Bible, I line up with the Bible.
The Bible says God heals all diseases. The Bible says with His stripes we are healed. The Bible says multitudes came to Jesus and He healed them all. The Bible says God doesn't play favorites. The Bibles shows us Jesus commanded his followers to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out devils. I have to conclude that God will come through on His Word.

Unfortunately OP's don't have a great track record in the signs, wonders, and miracles department. It's a ........ shoot with OP's. There are people who left a blazing trail of healings all over the world. Smith Wigglesworth, John G Lake are a couple that come to mind. Lake had over 500,000 document cases of healing. He opened up healing rooms on the west coast which are still being used today. The city Lake ministered healings in was identified as the healthiest city in the United States at one time. There are catholic mystics who God gave supernatural power to heal people.
